By: PurposeFairy “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.” ~ Wayne Dyer Whenever I come in contact with highly judgmental people I do my best to put myself in their shoes and understand why they behave the way they do and why do they feel the need to point the finger at those around them. You see, I really believe that underneath it all we are all good, kind and loving beings but because of the many challenges that life sends our way and because of the many struggles that we all face, some of us become bitter and resentful. When that happens, we begin to project our own pain and suffering in the form of blame, judgment and criticism onto the world around us. Today I want to share with you 7 clever ways to deal with highly judgmental people in a more positive and loving way. 1. Don’t take things personally If someone you know is judging you harshly, know that it is probably because they judge themselves harshly. They speak to you in the same way they speak to themselves. Don’t take it personally. Don’t make their negativity your own. Don’t let their toxic words go to your heart. Don’t poison yourself with things that have little or nothing to do with who you are. “Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering” ― Miguel Ruiz 2. Look beyond appearances Learn to look beyond appearances, to really see and hear what their soul, not their ego, wants you to see and hear. Look beyond appearances, behind the harsh and toxic words and see if you can find that place within them where love, beauty and kindness resides. Look for the good in people and trust that by doing so you will help bring out the good that lies in them. “When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That’s the message he is sending.” ~ Thích Nhất Hạnh 3. Embrace a compassionate attitude When people are feeling down, unhappy, lost and disconnected from themselves and the world around them, that’s when they begin to project their own darkness onto the people they interact with, that’s when they start judging the world around them. It’s when we are unhappy with ourselves that we begin to judge, blame and criticize those around us. Treat everyone with respect, love and compassion, including those who judge and criticize you harshly, not necessarily because they deserve it but because you do. Appreciate the contrast and silently thank them for the many lessons they are teaching you. “A truly compassionate attitude toward others does not change even if they behave negatively or hurt you.” ~ Dalai Lama XIV 4. Look for the lesson Believe it or not, everyone you come in contact with has something to teach you. There’s a lesson for you to learn but also to teach. Just like Lao Tzu said it more than 2500 years ago, a good man is a bad man’s teacher and a bad man is a good man’s job. “What is a good man but a bad man’s teacher? What is a bad man but a good man’s job? If you don’t understand this, you will get lost, however intelligent you are. It is the great secret.” ~ Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching Get in the habit of looking for the meaning behind every interaction and every experience life sends your way. Look for the lesson, look for the meaning and be willing to use every interaction and every experience to become a better but not bitter human being. 5. The world is your mirror “We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi I have come to realize that whenever I lose control over my thoughts and whenever my thinking isn’t that positive and uplifting, that’s when things start to go wrong in my world. And that’s when I encounter people who judge not only those around them but they also judge me. Like attracts like. If there’s darkness within, there will be darkness without. The world is our mirror, it reflects back what’s already within us. If the people that come your way are filled with negativity and toxicity and if you feel that you have many interactions of this kind, you might want to start purifying your thoughts and cleansing your own inner world. Because if you make the inner world pure, the outside world will be pure as well and so will be all of your interactions. 6. Adopt an attitude of gratitude “I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.” ~ Khalil Gibran Get into the habit of expressing your gratitude and appreciation for every interaction and every experience life sends you way, no matter if good or bad. Use them all to enrich your life and who you are, to grow, to expand and to become the beautiful and wonderful being you were born to be. 7. Focus your energy and attention upon those who love and appreciate you We live in a world full of people and no matter how kind and loving you are, there will always be someone who will have a problem with you simply because they have a problem with themselves. Don’t take their behavior personally. Don’t waste your time judging the people who judge you, instead, channel your energy on loving the people who love you. Use your precious time and energy to show your love and appreciation to those who love and adore you. “When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.” ~ A Course In Miracles

A children’s book entitled The True Story How A Baby Is Made is making the rounds again, this time on social media. It was written and illustrated by Danish writer and psychotherapist Per Holm Knudsen and was first published by Piccolo Books in 1975. The book details the process of sexual intercourse, pregnancy, and childbirth through a series of (explicit) illustrations done by the author himself. Here are the baby's mother and father. They love each other very much. They have helped each other to have the baby. When the parents are not wearing any clothes, you can see that the Mother has an opening between her legs. It's called a vagina. The Father has a penis and testicles. The Father and Mother love each other very much and want to be very, very close. Sometimes when the father feels especially loving, his penis becomes large. Then, to show his love, the Father puts his penis into the Mother's vagina. The father and mother hold each other tightly, and move together happily. They are making love, or having intercourse. If a sperm cell has joined the egg (or ovum), together they can grow into a baby inside the mother's womb. The mother and father do not know yet if this has happened. Sometimes, weeks later, the man and woman find out that, because they made love, they are going to have a baby. They are very very happy. At first, the tiny egg looks more like a tadpole than a baby. It is firmly attached to the mother's womb by the umbilical cord.Through this cord the baby gets food from the mother until the baby has grown big and strong enough to be born. As the baby grows bigger, the mother's abdomen also grows bigger. All these months the father is very proud of the mother. They share the excitement of feeling the baby's first movements inside its mother, and count the days until their baby will be born. Now the child has eyes and ears, and keeps on growing. Many, many days pass. Now it is nearly nine months since the father's sperm cell and the mother's ovum joined together to make a baby. Some babies are born at home, but many are born in a hospital. There the doctor can more easily help the baby to leave its mother womb. Here the mother and father are driving to the maternity ward of the hospital. The mother lies on a bed in the maternity ward. The doctor will help her to have her baby. Sometimes the father likes to stay with the mother so that he can see their baby when it first appears. The baby's head comes out first. The mother's body stretches to allow the baby to come out. Then comes it's arms. When the baby is completely born, the doctor cuts the umbilical cord which has carried food to the baby all this time, for it is no longer needed. When the mother holds the baby in her arms with the father beside her bed, they are very proud and happy. The mother and baby rest in the hospital and get to know each other. Then the happy father comes to take them home. The hungry newborn baby sucks milk from his mother's breasts. The father and mother are very happy because now they are family. Their friends and relatives are happy too. they come to visit this brand new little person.
In idle dreams of long ago,
I imagined my true love; A perfect match, a soulmate, An angel from above. Now you’re here, and now I know Our love will stay and thrive and grow. I never knew about happiness; I didn’t think dreams came true; I couldn’t really believe in love, Until I finally met you. When you laugh at my jokes I feel tall, when you look at me with those lovely eyes, I feel that I can break any wall Every day with you gives me a thrill; All my dreams you richly fulfill. I’m a fool for your charms; You belong in my arms; Love me; please say that you will. When it comes to picking out your burial choices, most people are limited to burial in a coffin that’s placed in the ground or a mausoleum, or cremation. Cremation pollutes the air and graveyards take up space and really, a coffin isn’t much more than an expensive box that’s left to rot in the ground. Capsula Mundi is a container with an old perfect shape, just like an egg, made with modern material -starch plastic- in which the dead body is put in a fetal position. Capsula Mundi is planted like a seed in the soil, and a tree is planted on top of it. The tree is chosen when the person is alive, relatives and friends look after it when death occurs. A cemetery will no longer be full of tombstones and will become a sacred forest. These “seed coffins” were developed as an environmentally positive alternative to traditional burial by Italian couple Anna Citelli and Raoul Bretzel. When we go to visit our loved ones who have left this world, we could visit a memorial forest and tend to a tree of their choice. We could teach our children about the cycle of life and death without headstones engraved with names and solidified dates. We could walk through a forest of life, rather than tombs of death. And on top of everything, these pods are made from starch plastic consisting of potato and corn fibers, so they're good for the planet! The following video takes you through the entire process and the goals of Capsula Mundi. Catastrophes strike without warning and many people are left with limited to no resources. Whether it be a tornado, flood, earthquake, hurricane, civil unrest, or any other kind of disaster, you could be left days or even weeks without the necessities to survive if you're unprepared. Learn how to take every day items from your house and turn them into life-saving hacks. First, Mr. Satan is a Satanic name, but it is for a reason. He is the winner of the 24th Martial Arts Tournament, making everyone believe he is the strongest even though he's not. He is weak and can't do much, yet everyone thinks he's the strongest. This was a poke at people who do worship the devil and think he's the strongest being even though he is not. He has failed his fans numerous times, but he has come up with many excuses to keep having fans. Basically, Mr. Satan represents false worship, wrong worship, or proof that Satan is not who you should really worship. Now let's take Videl. She represents repentance. When she was first introduced, she thought that Mr. Satan was the strongest (even though he isn't) and is rude and arrogant. She is rich and respected, yet she respects no one but her father at first. She was the one who figured out the true identity of the Great Saiyaman, and then blackmailed Gohan into teaching her how to use her ki. After this, she and Gohan begin to fall for each other. Gohan sees something in her that no one else does, and then Videl changes to repent for her sins. She marries Gohan and becomes a much nicer woman. There is one character for each deadly sin in the show: Gluttony is represented by Yajirobe. He would not tell the reporters about the Saiyans until he had his food, thus putting food before the fate of the planet. He turns out to be a fat, weak, near-useless human for his selfishness. Wrath is represented by Dr. Gero. He hates Goku for defeating the Red Ribbon Army, and creates 19 Androids as well as turn himself into one. However, he angers 17 by turning him into an android, and the first chance 17 saw, he killed Gero. Pride is represented by Cell. He obviously loves himself due to his "perfection." Upon reaching his Super Perfect Form, he begins to think that no one could outmatch him and even surpasses Goku. This pride leads to his demise when he feels pity for Gohan and lets him transform. Gohan kills him with the Father-Son Kamehameha, never to see the light of day again. Sloth is represented by Babidi. He just sat around there and didn't fight, making him a real coward. He just controlled people and was the wicked mastermind behind everything. In the end, he was strangled to death by Buu. Lust is, obviously, represented by Master Roshi. He is always trying to molest women or catch glimpses of them in underwear or not anything at all. He is always getting smacked, knocked out, or hit on the head, but due to his immortality, he never dies. He never learns from this, but he does always get hit. Greed is represented by King Piccolo. He craves eternal youth, so he finds the Dragon Balls and wishes for it, then wipes out Shenron. However, this selfish and greedy wish got him killed by Goku's Penetrate! attack, and he was dead for 1. Not having wished for Immortality or something better instead and 2. Being a greedy, selfish jerk. Finally, Envy is represented by Vegeta. He is always jealous of Goku for being stronger than him despite being a low-class warrior whose power level was merely 2 at birth. He is always trying to find was to surpass him, such as turning into a Majin and finding new classes of Super Saiyans (although that wasn't primarily used for outclassing Goku). This leads to his death a few times, but unlike everyone else, he stops his envy and becomes a nicer man (although he still is kind of jealous of Goku).
Goku could be considered to be somewhat of a religious figure. He appeared on Earth, he turned into a pure-hearted soul, and did many things that a lot of pastors and church-goers could not do themselves. First, he has Krillin not kill Vegeta with the sword, even though he deserved it. He basically had mercy for Vegeta although he did not deserve any mercy. He also demonstrates this with Raditz, who tricks him into letting go of his tail, but he did this because he was a pure-hearted soul and had mercy for him (But Raditz didn't turn good... eh, who cares?). Even in early Dragon Ball, this was demonstrated with Yamcha, who started out as a desert bandit but changed his ways because Goku allowed him to. He also helps Gohan as he is about to kill Cell with the Father-Son Kamehameha even though he was dead. There were many other things that Goku did, and many religious people would be proud of him.
